Our company was founded by Marshall Racoosin in 1959 and today focuses on building custom homes. Marshall's son Mitch, who grew up absorbing his father’s pride of workmanship and design sensibility, joined the company in 1985 and continues the company's commitment to excellence. Mitch is in the field and accountable every day, working closely with the region’s most skilled and dedicated subcontractors and craftsmen.

Here, we work in partnership with Yeonas & Ellis, LLC as Artisan Builders, bringing together a group of talented architects, craftspeople and landscape artists to create this community’s intimate, distinctive feel.
The Lane at Four Stairs
The Lane at Four Stairs offers the most desirable two-acre home sites in close-in Great Falls, Virginia. This private enclave of six Artisan Builders-designed homes is bounded by streams and forest. We are proud to have been selected by The Private Historic Preservation Trust to develop this magnificent property.
Woodlea Mill
Woodlea Mill in McLean, Virginia, is perhaps the community for which we are best known. It combines a quiet neighborhood feel with convenience to all the D.C. metro area has to offer. A few select home sites remain available in this established 71-acre enclave of beautiful residences.
